Apparently this old ad on an old general store is semi-famous, on the north side of downtown along Lydiard Street.

On Howitt Street, this was built in 1877 as the Doveton Woolen Mill (it's next to Doveton Street), but the building was taken over by Myer Emporium in the 1950s. I'm glad the mighty Myer kept the building largely intact.
