Out of the visitor center, past some of the formations I just saw, and down into the valley. As the road twists, it briefly ends up looping back on itself, such that the last photo faces north into a long valley. The road then hairpins back southward again.


Down, down, down we go.


Looking east and north from the theater parking lot at the bottom of the incline.


Alternating views to the right and left of the road. Given that this is in the morning, the brighter photos must be to the west, suggesting that the road is again heading somewhat north. It can get hard to keep track of, especially when I only care about the scenery and not the sun.
