Tasmania - Westbury

Westbury

The 1874 Holy Trinity Catholic Church is on the west side of town at William Street and Meander Valley Road (Highways B72 and B54). Westbury was historically a very Catholic area in what was then Protestant (mainly Anglican) Australia due to Irish settlement.

The 1842 Berriedale Hotel was called Westbury Hotel when I was there, but is again the Berriedale Hotel. It's the only pub in town.

From the north side of town, you can see out to 1,000-metre Drys Bluff to the south.
