Photos progress south from Highway 1.


Right away I come to the Rangitikei River, which has cut swirls into the mud and mudstone.


Highway 54 crosses the river at an interesting point. The first two photos looked slightly east, where the tall bank was the south side of the river. If I look west, the tall bank is the north side. In both cases, that's the outside of the riverbend.


Looking west at the Stormy Point Lookout.


The Ruahine Range is to the east. The wind farm is toward the southern end of the range.


And then, I enter the misspelled town of Feilding.


And then, I'm back to more Ruahine photos. Feilding has exactly one interesting building, I guess.
