Photos head east from Highway 32. Picking up where I left off on that page, this is another photo of Pukekaikiore.


Tastes of scenery to the south and east.


Highway 41 skirts the wetlands on the south side of Waihi Bay, Lake Taupo. The diminutive Motutaiko Island sits on the lake in the distance next to Mount Tauhara.


More scenery as the road follows the lake.


Pukekaikiore keeps watch on me from the left as I finish up my lake photos.


Mount Pihanga, a volcanic peak over 1.3 km tall, is just south of Turangi where Highway 41 ends. That's just 3 km from the Highway 47 junction in the last photo.
