New York City is the Big Apple, so it's fitting that the rest of New York is apple-themed. However, even in New York I wouldn't expect to find a society of apple parer enthusiasts, let alone an international one. (Maybe there aren't enough people in one country alone.) You can't say "Now I've seen everything!" until you've seen an apple paring festival. This was at Fly Creek Cider Mill.
