A mix of fall colors and Lake Michigan while driving along US Route 2. This is the Manistique East Breakwater Lighthouse.


The next set of scenery takes me along Lake Michigan to about Brevort/Brevoort Lake. (Really, can someone tell me how it's officially spelled?) Fall foliage disappears as the evergreens close in.


The Dune Shores Resort is amongst these nameless silicon dioxide agglomerations.


Before I get to the Mackinac Straits Bridge, here are a juvenile ring-billed gull and an American northern painted moose.


Sault Ste. Marie from the air. The Michigan side is the lower half of the river, including the finger-like Soo Locks on the left (but not the larger Whitefish Island).
