Sacramento

What passes for a skyline, looking south from several miles north of the city along CA Route 99.

Across Tower Bridge and east on Capitol Mall to its 1874 namesake.

Architectural Capitol details.

More than 50 years newer yet still classic, the Italian Renaissance-style Elks Tower (lodge and hotel) was built on the northeast corner of J and 11th Streets in 1926.

Just past Elks Tower, on the same block even, is the 1918 Masonic Temple. Hey, it was there first.

Architectural Masonic details, from top to bottom. Couldn't tell you what they all are.

Finally, the 1926 auditorium is along J Street between 15th-16th Streets.
