Alabama - Montgomery

Montgomery

Approaching downtown on the old Atlanta Highway, former US 80. That's the RSA (Retirement Systems of Alabama) Tower, which is not what it says on top, but I have not found a single photo of what it DOES say.

Assorted useless bits of historical signs. I don't even give you the other half of the state capitals one.

Two buildings with names.

The Montgomery Judicial Dept., under heavy reconstruction but likely more scenic when not.

Many old homes in the Capitol district, such as along South Hull St. The last two photos are the same house.

The Dexter Ave. United Methodist Church, constructed in 1887, the second most historic church on that street within two blocks. (And there's only one other one).

See, 1885, much older, but that's hardly what makes this church more historic. The sign tells you why.

Photos of the church, including the basement entrance that Dr. King would have used for his office.
