VT 44A splits from VT 44, avoiding Windsor and cutting a long corner for traffic to Weathersfield and points south, but not itself serving any place of note. Like on the first shield, the "A" should be bottom justified.


VT 44 EB ends at US 5 with white distance signs from the 1960s. This is also VT 12, but the old signs tell you nothing. The "JCT parking restrictions" has been like that for quite a long time, though at least either VTrans or Windsor saw fit to add a US 5 assembly.
