This is exactly how long VT 243 is.


All but the "East" banner above VT 243 are reversed. Don't you prefer it? This is at Elm St., a cutoff through North Troy.


Elm St. SB ditches the "TO" banners on its short run. It could very easily have been a northern extension of VT 101, but it isn't. VT 101 doesn't begin for another 2 miles.


Stay on Railroad St. with VT 243 and have some more reversed banners. They seem to hold up better than the route shields, maybe because they're manufactured like guide signs instead of with a shield process.
