The first SB shield, and the only one this route really needs.

Because I passed it - NB at one of the ends of Benson Rd.


Obviously, the Rappahannock River gets in the way of VA 222 going anywhere. So why was the last 20 feet of pavement striped? (Ever - since it's clear VDOT got wise since then.) It just goes into gravel.


What made this page happen is the great view of the Robert O. Norris Bridge, VA 3, looking east from the end of VA 222.
