US 380, Wise County EB construction and east

Photos progress westward and are westbound unless I say otherwise.

One EB photo, but you wouldn't know it because US 69's "South" dominates the assembly. US 380 only recently was realigned around Greenville following the completion of the US 69 bypass. It still ends at I-30/US 67, but now with a useless multiplex along 69 instead of just ending at their intersection with "To" signage between there and 30/67.
West of Greenville, US 380's at-grade railroad crossing is being bypassed by a divided roadway to the north, probably open by now. Once across the railroad, this new alignment ties back into the current/original one.

Though blurry, this eastward photo shows the stub end of the future EB lanes on the railroad bypass, cut off by the current road, but eventually to cross over and settle into a new alignment being constructed to the south from this point west.

Here goes the new alignment off on its own, with a temporary tie-in to be used so the future WB side can be reconstructed. The EB roadway comes from the barricades in the distance and crosses over this part of the current roadway to the stub end to the right.

Through the construction to an already divided section at Floyd, where US 380 has Business Route J. It's like every other state, except the internal designation separating different business routes of the same parent is generally shown on the shield. The shield even makes room for the letter, rather than sticking it on as an afterthought, but I still don't think common parlance would call this Business US 380J.

Into Collin County, where the roadway reverts back to a single carriageway. The two Farmersville overpasses are for Main St. and a railroad. It takes skill to hit the second overpass without touching the first one - unless the first 13'-8" posting is a lie.

The next stretch of construction toward McKinney, where once again the four-lane highway picks up. In the fourth photo, you can see a narrow 2-digit US 380 shield facing a side road to the left. What looks like black pavement through Farmersville is a mat of reinforcement (rebar) for the concrete lanes to be poured.

A decorative overpass for US 75/TX 121 in McKinney and another lettered business route in Prosper. TX 5, in the background of the first photo, is old US 75.

Construction picks up again at the Wise County line and continues partway through the county on the future EB side of the road. After the bridge in the last photo, construction switches to the future WB side, and that makes a perfect place to break for the next US 380 page linked below.
