TN 246 SB at Popes Chapel Rd. This is a Williamson County sign, distinct from the TN state sign standard.


That sign was just an excuse to call this page TN 246 instead of Old Gas Pump in Burwood. It's at 5466 Carter's Creek Pike if you want to come check it out.


Among the details: gallons are priced in cents, making this inconvenient for modern use. Pump originally belonged to an Esso station, most recently rebranded as American but the labeling has peeled off. And that had to still be old enough to use leaded gas and the American brand name, not to mention sub-dollar gas prices, so 1960s to early 70s at the latest.
