Pennsylvania Roads - Old US 309

Old US 309, Bethlehem Pike

Bethlehem Pike was bypassed by the modern divided highway (now freeway) before US 309 became PA 309, so this was never old PA 309. All photos are northbound.

Oldness baked right in, in northwest Philly.

New, but ugly, Turnpike shields flank much older stuff. The railroad bridge is at the brief PA 73 concurrency.

Across Sandy Run toward Ambler.
