Pennsylvania Roads - Jordan Creek bridges - S. Whitehall

Jordan Creek bridges, South Whitehall Twp.

Flip your mind and assume this is a railroad bridge over Iron Bridge Road (heading west from Cedar Creek Blvd.) and Jordan Creek, not tunnels under the railroad.

From Iron Bridge Rd., I turn west over Guth's or Manasses Guth Covered Bridge, dating to 1858.

After crossing the bridge, I start on the south side and head north under it along Jordan Creek. The last photo faces south.

Back east to Iron Bridge Rd.

Here I am at the next bridge, River Rd. west to Wehr's Bridge (1841) along Wehr Mill Rd.

A low dam interrupts the creek west of the bridge.

Remains of something mill-like in the area, perhaps a kiln or oven.

Walking back east from the dam to the bridge.
