Oklahoma Roads - Blackburn

Blackburn and vicinity

5th St. E in "downtown." Obviously enough traffic once passed through here to warrant a gas station, or at least one pump. I suppose in the dawn of motoring, any town with an Arkansas River crossing had an advantage.

Across the Blackburn Bridge (for lack of a better name). It was even bumpier than it looks - look at the roadway joints and the pavement texture.

Heading due north from the bridge, before getting to OK 20, is this curious ruin. "Dist" for District implies this was something like a schoolhouse or firehouse - or maybe a grange?
