The Parkway reappears after a brief absence in New Hyde Park/Albertson as Highway Drive, which is an access to the North Hempstead Highway Dept. If you know someone there, you are lucky and fortunate, but otherwise your trail will pick up in Williston Park. It is mostly intact from Willis Ave. to east of Roslyn Rd., but then Wheatley Hills Golf Course gets in the way. South of the golf course, the right of way re-emerges in Mineola as a series of generous backyards, clearings, and dead ends. The only original toll house still standing in its original position, visible from the Parkway west of Roslyn Rd. It has of course been modified and the canopy has been removed, but the distinctive roof is the major giveaway.
