Long Island Motor Parkway
Queens - Springfield Blvd. interchange

Walking down the former EB onramp toward Springfield Blvd.

Walking back up the onramp to the Parkway.

Notice the original guiderail posts on both sides of the ramp. These are so old, it was still guide fence at the time (wooden, not metal).

Walking north on Springfield Blvd., just north of Grand Central Pkwy. Say hello to my bike!

The date of 1924 is nestled in the upper reaches of the eastern abutment. Compare to 1926 on the 73rd Ave. bridge.

The SB approach to the overpass.

Walking the correct way down the former WB offramp to Springfield Blvd. It appears that this path is better maintained and people are no longer supposed to use the EB onramp for access. That makes no sense to me, because it's not much work to maintain a walking path.
