New York Roads - Long Island Motor Pkwy. - Queens

Long Island Motor Parkway
Queens

The Parkway right of way has been almost entirely preserved in Queens thanks to Robert Moses. It starts in Cunningham Park and heads east to Alley Pond Park before ending at Winchester Blvd. Park on 199th St. south of I-495 (EB Exit 26 and an immediate right) and get ready for some exercise! Here is what you can bike or jog of the Parkway:

Eastbound to Springfield Blvd.
Westbound from Springfield Blvd.
Springfield Blvd. interchange
73rd St. and Union Tpk. path bridges
East of Springfield Blvd.

East of there, the right of way basically disappears until Nassau County, although 74th Ave. is laid directly on top of it.

74th Ave. EB and WB behind Long Island Jewish Medical Center ("LIJ" to locals).

West of Little Neck Parkway, a trace of the Long Island Motor Parkway continues when 74th Ave. stops. It's just a large parking lot now.
