There's only one old sign on the route, eastbound, and damned if I'm going to hide it from you just because it's blurry.

Cape Spear is so cool, it gets two lighthouses. Again, better photos await on the Non-Roads page. The cape itself is in the last photo, and probably your best view from anywhere on land.


An exposed cape on the Atlantic coast can clearly be subject to powerful wind gusts, here toppling the scrubby hillside pines.


Looking west toward Cahill Point and St. John's behind it as I travel back from the Cape.
