New Jersey Roads - Morris CR 633/Main St.

Main St., Lincoln Park

Why are all of my photos of this route westbound CR 633 shields? Because the whole thing is two blocks long, three if you count the Alt. route on Chapel Hill Rd. The 633 number is just being used to make sure these downtown Lincoln Park streets stay county-maintained. Of interest is that NJDOT had once planned a realignment of US 202 that would have followed the Morris Canal west of town, tying into Beaver Brook Rd. and eliminating the turn 202 takes in Lincoln Park. Had that happened, CR 633 would be several times longer (and a state highway would actually be state-maintained).
