An old alignment of US 66 pokes out from divided IL 157 at Ginger Creek Drive in Glen Carbon. 157 now takes a more gradual curve.


Another case of a curve being flattened comes at Staunton Rd. outside Hamel. Heading southbound on 157, bear left on Staunton as US 66 once did, and this stub appears on the right. The roadbed is in pretty bad condition, but the curbs are intact.


Back out of the stub, former US 66 EB.
