Czech Republic

All photos courtesy Michal Polák, in the eastern corner of the country. Don't forget the I/48 (E-462) page! (Class I, as in roman numeral, as opposed to the lower classes II and III.)

In the United States, sometimes shields are painted on pavement (these are proposed to be added to the MUTCD in 2009), but these aren't shields, these are speed limits.

In the Czech Republic, sometimes nothing is painted and there's no pavement, and traffic has to figure out where and how to yield to a square. This is Zámecké Náměstí in the heart of Frýdek-Místek.

Onto I/48 (E-462)

Continuing south from Dobrá on whatever highway was featured at the bottom of the I/48 page. I know it is a numbered highway because the signs are blue - Europe is good about color coordination. This photo is somewhere around Raškovice or Pražmo, where there's another highway crossroad that I can't identify because there's no number on these signs.

třída Tomáše Garrigue Masaryka SB at Jiráskova (which appears to be the only name of the street) just north of I/48 in Frýdek-Místek.

Onto I/48 (E-462)
