Connecticut Roads - New Haven

New Haven

Seneca Rd. around a bunch of curves, then Fowler St. at Frederick St., in the Amity neighborhood.

Below a dead-end sign on Mountain Rd. at Valley St.

Just outside New Haven, in Hamden, is the locale of Whitneyville and the location of Eli Whitney's factory. No, not for cotton gins, which were produced in New Haven itself, but for weapons. That explains why little Eli Rd. comes into Whitney Ave., which continues north past the CT-issue curve sign, possibly from when this was CT 10A. It's still secret route 707, so the sign could have been installed after the decommissioning.
