California Roads - I-880 NB

That was a very poor arrow decision added to the last sign. Looks like two lanes have to collide with each other upon exiting. Before that, the distance for Stevenson Blvd. changed (8th photo) after being converted from a far-side loop to a near-side ramp.

Why was Central Newark greened out on just one sign?

The last two photos are on ramps: the Exit 26 (Tennyson Rd.) C-D road through the cloverleaf, and then at Exit 27.

The last two photos are left and right on the same gantry, by far the best NB photo I got while driving SB. At the beginning of the run, I-238 used to simply be part of CA 238 and was then patched on existing signs in 1983, because obviously it makes so much of a difference to anyone for the number to suddenly be in a different shield. (It's a non-chargeable route, so it doesn't even get Federal money for its designation. It just looks like a freeway more.) Coincidentally, I-880 was CA 17 until that same time, but it got a real number.

To the end of the road, ending on the long Exit 46A ramp from I-880 NB to I-80 WB. Despite its absurdly high number, I-980 was always planned as an Interstate and was never CA 24, hence the lack of patches.
