California Roads - I-710

I-710 was intended to continue through Pasadena. You'll see the scars and read the story on the NB and SB pages below.

Passing a 1979 Super Beetle. You can even see the VW logo on the hubcaps. California once had Bugs everywhere thanks to its hot, dry climate and proximity to Mexico (which kept making them long after Volkswagen discontinued the car elsewhere). Now that they've permanently been canned, only collectors and aficionados still have or drive them.

I-710 SB

Until 1983, I-710 was CA 7. You have a choice of riding around looking for a patched shield to fall off one of the sundry ancient BGS on I-710 and its intersecting freeways, or just driving WB or EB on Floral Drive (Exit 20C now) at the NB onramp. The 3rd photo is a bonus EB sign for Cal State Univ.
