I-210 EB, Exit 25 and east

The last two signs are the left and right sides of the same gantry, since I had the image resolution for it. This is the exit that would have continued straight through Pasadena as I-710, tying into that freeway down to Long Beach. Instead, the stub ends without making much of a dent on Pasadena and the lion's share of traffic continues on I-210. There are other cancelled freeways around Los Angeles, but this one has the most visible scars on both ends, reflected in the patchwork signs that were meant for much more.

Cross-streets northbound in eastern Pasadena: Hill Ave. (Exit 27, courtesy Kelly W.) and Madre St. (Exit 29B). San Bernardino is at the end of CA 210, the extension of I-210 that has not yet been approved for Interstate status beyond CA 57 and the only part of the route that actually makes it to parallel I-10.

All of these photos were taken while heading westbound. The last two photos are on the same gantry, and obviously one was Frankensteined together because I snapped it a little too soon.

Signs continue down the Exit 36B ramp. In the WB direction, this is Exit 36A. Why? Because Caltrans.
