So my family's leaving my grandparents' apartment one afternoon in the early summer of 2004, after we'd stayed much longer than necessary to attempt to fix a radio (which we still haven't mastered). "HEY NEW YORK? DO YOU WANT TO SEE THE OLYMPIC TORCH??" Umm... not what I expect to hear above the usual traffic noise of the city. Anyway, here's what I captured with my handy camera:
