New York - Boonville

Boonville

Coming north up Main Street (NY Route 12D).

Turning around, I see the same buildings to the south and more to the west on Schuyler St.

Main St., Schuyler St., and Post St. form a triangle as they define downtown Boonville, and this cannon is in the center of it. The north side, which I did not blow up for you, just says "P / LMP." Probably someone's initials, or an 18th-century fat joke.

More views of the south side of Schuyler St. The old house is west of Post St. (NY Route 46).

46 Post St.

Coming back to Hulbert House and the diminutive commercial establishment next door. Notice how, over the centuries, the stones have settled and thrown all of the sills and joints akimbo.
