Québec Roads - Rue Montcalm, Gatineau

Rue Montcalm, Gatineau

SB in the former city of Hull (greedily absorbed by Gatineau), leading toward Rue Eddy and thence Ottawa.

Now NB on that same strange little bridge crossing from Île de Hull, looking left and right for some architectural details.

NB and SB at the beginning of A-50, just west of A-5. This was once the beginning of A-550, when A-50 was planned to bypass the city to the north and come down to where QC 148 now follows Blvd. des Allumettières. It's not too much of a stretch to take even the current end of A-50 and connect it west to that boulevard, but for the foreseeable future, and despite exit numbering suggesting a westward extension, A-50 ends here. These signs seem to be written as "A-50 east to both directions of A-5 and QC 148," but the message is easily parsed as "A-5, A-50, and QC 148, all east." Also, these signs are now outdated, as QC 148 was pulled off of A-5 and Blvd. St-Raymond and instead brought down A-50 all the way to Blvd des Allumettières, so there's no way to get to QC 148 west by turning here. In fact, 148 west is three blocks northwest, turn right, and around the next circle to the left.
