Abandoned Pennsylvania Tpk. (I-76), Breezewood
Westbound page 2

Emerging from the concrete of the Sideling Hill Tunnel, choosing the westbound lanes, and riding down the well-striped eastbound lanes to the Oregon Road underpass, past a phallic plant in the penultimate photo (like the alliteration?).

Between this and the eastbound page (linked at bottom), I bet you've seen enough of this overpass. It's interesting how worn down the concrete is on the top and front side of the westbound railing (last photo).

Onto the eastbound lanes instead, because as you can see in the fourth photo, the westbound side has suddenly gotten quite bad. The bikers far ahead of me in the third photo obviously agree.

Back to the westbound side, which starts out with stripes and a tree trying to claim the air rights, and then passing more bikers on the eastbound side (but I'm much happier where I am).

Way up on the hill, the billboards are for I-76, which is up the hillside to my left (the south).

Up the hill and around the last curve. What lies ahead? Have you been reading my other pages?
