Ontario Roads - Niagara RR 89

WB across the Welland Canal. There are giant wheels above the incredibly tall lift spans to get the roadway high enough for any ship that can clear the QEW's Garden City Skyway bridge (the only fixed bridge across the canal).

WB and EB. The QEW should be using a more stately, taller font (featured on many other pages, but here's one example) because it's the Queen's highway and queens are stately (though in this case, not taller). It should also be using a crown shape with ridges that looks more like a crown and less like a Mallomar. Can't expect much from a non-cutout assembly, though. This is the best example on my website of the Toronto/Niagara directions applied to the QEW instead of the expected west/east or still acceptable north/south. Ontario hides behind the excuse that the shoreline of Lake Erie is too curved to allow directions, but I say they just want to make the QEW that much more stately.
