Ontario Roads - Peel RR 15

Peel Regional Road 15, Steels Avenue

WB from Albion Rd., which marks the eastern boundary of Peel Region. Highway 27 no longer exists, having been decommissioned in the 1990s along with so many other routes. It's interesting to note the two different shield shapes being used for the same purpose. In black-on-white form, the crown-shaped shields are supposed to be for junction signing, although that standard is routinely violated, so I'm not even sure it exists. I can tell you that the... shield-shaped... shields are exclusively used for reassurance signing. However, when you get down to these green trailblazers, there's absolutely no standard for using one or the other. It's the only case I know of in any highway network where two different shield designs are used interchangeably for the exact same purpose.

What appears to be an older font, also WB. It's most obvious in the segmented letters, such as 'R,' 'E,' and 'W.'
