Ohio Roads - OH 2 - W. of I-90 - WB

OH 2 WB west of I-90

Exit 7 gets a brief mention just like in the EB direction, but only brief. The freeway is a lot longer than 10 miles. All of these except the two sunrise photos are courtesy Doug Kerr, on down the last ramp before the freeway ends.

OH 2 joins OH 51 in Toledo, but it doesn't look like it. When both rights are the same turn, they should have the same arrow.

While in Toledo, check out the Home Building & Savings Co. at Segur Ave.

Signs that are clearly custom-designed. There is no candy-cane symbol in the MUTCD, precisely because of how ambiguous it is.

Swanton spills over from Fulton County into Lucas County. Once I'm in Fulton, the grid system of county routes takes over with square shields and addressing, almost a hybrid of street sign and route shield. CR 6-2 is halfway between 6 and 7, in lieu of calling it CR 6.5. OH 2 (here with Alt. US 20, not to mention OH 64 in the first two photos) is in the 7000 addressing range, which makes sense because it's on top of what would be CR G in the numbering system.

OH 2, still on Alt. US 20, picks up OH 109 for a ride through Delta. The old signals were at Wood, Lincoln, and Monroe Streets, were all in flashing mode, and were all removed about a month after I saw them.
OH 2 loves having company in western Ohio. These photos are shared with OH 66 SB.

Past some 56' tall yard art into downtown Stryker, where OH 2 picks up OH 191 for fun.

Shared shields with some different routes. The first assembly is actually just fine, but it's exceedingly rare for Ohio to post a 3-digit route and not have the 2-digit route below it in a 3-digit shield as well.

Into Hicksville, first photo courtesy Doug Kerr, all with OH 49 SB, and the 1882 building shared with OH 18 as well.
