New York Roads - NY 208




Blue and gold historical signs abound in New York, and some are older than others. If I had to put these in age order, I'd say the second sign is newest and the third, rounded sign is oldest, but I put them in order from south to north instead. While counties do put up their own versions, you can tell from the New York outline atop the page that these are all state historical commission signs.

Most bike routes in New York parallel or, as in this case, join the same-numbered route. That looks like the re-emergence of Series A font - why not just shorten the letters and widen that green oval a little?
