Northwestern End

30, 534, and 561 meet in Berlin. Although 561 meets 30/534 a block east of where 30 and 534 meet, traffic following 561 south must turn right on 30/534 west to simplify the five-way intersection with Cross Keys Rd. by making 561 north one-way away from the intersection. 561 south traffic then uses the 534 west jughandle to U-turn and follow 30/534 east. Historically, 561 had a straight railroad crossing instead of the current overpass on a new alignment, and so the multiplex began at the 30/534 intersection anyway.


30 west at Cross Keys Rd. 561 north bears right, 561 south comes in for a brief multiplex to the jughandle in the distance where 534 west leaves.


Cross Keys Rd. north at 30/534/561. 561 north leaves 30/534 west here (to the left) but 561 south then joins on.

Southeastern End

30, 534, and 561 meet outside downtown Berlin. 561 north now joins 30 west a block east of where 30/534/561 meet to simplify the intersection by making 561 south one-way away from the intersection.
