New Jersey Roads - NJ 56

First sign EB (and the best of the three, in my opinion), other two westbound.

Old county-erected concrete bridge mimicking the state style (sensible move, since the state probably spent a lot of effort to work out its roadway specifications in the 1910s); this is eastbound. Unlike old state bridges of similar age, county bridges tend to get painted white. This is the only one I've seen with all parapets painted caution yellow.

Now on the westbound side, I couldn't catch the bridge number underneath the guiderail, but it looks like a four-digit number beginning with 1. Wow, the year is ALSO a four-digit number beginning with 1. Will the wonders never cease.

Onto NJ 55
