I didn't get as good a photo of this shield, but it's enough to see that something's off with the font. An old error shield? Anything's possible.

In the town of Northfield, which has semi-merged with Tilton just to the north despite being in separate counties.


Facing south in Ashland just before NH 132 ends. This historical sign has a hysterical typo. Hint: If you made it to "branch lines" you went too far, but "B, C&M RR and" isn't far enough. Happy hunting!
