MD 170 meets MD 162 on the north side of the airport. Whichever way you go is Airport Loop, unless you want to break through the fence onto the tarmac. The first sign is notable because it's only telling you the road curves gently left before the intersection, but these arrows look like something crazier is going on like a roundabout with a bypass. All of the signs are notable for lacking state names.


Not all of MD 170 is Airport Loop, but the interesting part is. After joining the loop at the northern end of MD 162, it follows it down to MD 176 on the south side of BWI. 162 and 176 meet at the southeast corner of the airport to complete the loop.
