More typical Massachusetts style, from the 1980's you get reflective LGS's without shields.


Slightly older and northbound - the font in the I-195 shield was superseded by FHWA standard in the mid-1970's, and the arrow through the shield also petered out around that time. Given that the sign is reflective, it seems to be a direct replacement copying the old sign style, with a recycled older I-195 shield.
