Connecticut Roads - I-84 - Intersecting Roads

Roads intersecting I-84

Toward CT 34 on the brief Exit 11 freeway, which has a stub because it was supposed to connect into the CT 25 freeway to Bridgeport.

CT 229 NB and SB.

Sisson Ave. SB at the CT 503 stub, Exit 46 (would have been CT 189).

Sigourney St. NB and SB at Exit 47, featuring some extremely rare non-reflective Connecticut button copy.

Cogswell St. SB at Asylum Ave., former CT 4.

Asylum St. EB and WB (just east of the photo above) at Exit 48.

Ann St. NB, and then N. Chapel St., the WB frontage road, at Exits 49/50.

Buckland Ave. SB at Exit 62, turning onto Pleasant Valley Road for the second photo.

CT 89 NB in eastern Connecticut, turning from Turnpike Rd. to Westford Hill Rd. The signs in the first photo appear to be the first generation of green signs (other than the Union one), because this part of I-84 hasn't been referred to as the Wilbur Cross Highway in decades. (It still technically is, though.) The name dates from when CT 15 continued east of Hartford to Massachusetts - remember, 15 is Wilbur Cross Parkway and then Highway before meeting 84.
