Arizona Roads - Tempe

Tempe

Tempe's standard (and sometimes aging) overhead signal standards typically show the street name, as Matt Kleiman's photo shows on S. Rural Rd. NB. The example I caught isn't quite right, or else a few people in Tempe have a really awkward address.

If you couldn't tell from my last photo, it's past sundown. Same photo, different crop.

Down by Tempe Town Lake Marina, looking west at the Southern Pacific Railroad Bridge across the Salt River.

This is the direction of the sunset, so you get more railroad bridge photos. I took the second photo after the first photo but with a much different exposure.

The object of my late-evening travel to the Marina was actually the Mill Ave. Bridge, constructed in 1931, to the east of the railroad bridge. Tempe Butte is behind it to the southeast.
